Description

A mobile app that takes a driver from unverified applicant to working professional on the Khuta intercity travel platform: handling identity verification, the daily rhythm of running trips, validating passenger tickets at boarding, and managing the vehicle-owner relationship, in Arabic or English. Built with Expo/React Native, it shares its backend and Firebase project with the passenger app and both web dashboards as the driver-facing surface of one connected platform.

Business Need

• Drivers can't be trusted on the platform without verification. A structured, document-backed onboarding flow keeps unvetted drivers from ever picking up a passenger.
• Ticket fraud and no-shows need a fast, reliable check-in. QR scanning and an 8-digit manual code feed the same validation flow, so check-in still works when a phone or QR code isn't cooperating.
• A driver needs real agency over their vehicle situation, not just a notice. Assignment requests let drivers accept or reject a vehicle an owner offers them.
• Discipline needs to be visible and contestable, not just imposed. Violations come with a formal appeal process instead of a silent penalty.
• A bilingual, RTL-first driver base needs the app to actually work in Arabic, with full native RTL mirroring, not labels bolted onto an English layout.
